This morning starts out in the low 70s with a few clouds, but the main difference will be a drier day in the Bay Area with a slight chance of late day showers mainly along the nature coast and in inland communities. Highs again will rise to the upper 80s.
Monday stays mainly dry, but a cold front is going to move through Tuesday which means a higher chance of isolated showers as highs climb to the mid 80s.
Humidity and rain chances lower Wednesday through next weekend as high temperatures only make it to the low 80s with lows returning to the 60s by the end of next week.
Tropical Storm Rafael has been weakening rapidly and how has maximum sustained wind of 40 mph as it moves ever so slowly. It will then turn to the south as wind shear and dry air will continue to weaken the system to a depression today or tomorrow. Rafael will become post tropical as its remnants move toward southern Mexico by the middle of next week.
There is one other area we are watching which a trough of low pressure that is located just to the north of Hispanola. This has a 10% chance of development over the next seven days as it moves to the west toward the southeast Bahamas. We will continue to monitor this system, but its not expected to impact our area.
