If you are a Floridian, you know that there are some chains with stores that today sit empty. Examples are Kmart, Bed, Bath and Beyond, and Barnes and Noble. However, one empty Barnes and Noble – in Tampa – will soon reopen as an Aldi. And there are freebies at the grand opening.
Aldi’s Florida Expansion And Florida Feedback: Florida has gotten some new Aldi stores by way of several Winn Dixie stores that are being converted to Aldi. However, beyond these conversions, the retailer is also opening new stores that weren’t originally Winn Dixie, like one that I wrote about opening in Fountainbleu and another in Lecanto.
That new Lecanto store has gotten some good feedback from reviewers. For example, a reviewer named Rick wrote:
“Ok, brand new store! Very well stocked! No problem finding most items. Great assortment of fresh vegetables. Loved that I got some stuff at a great price. Left with a very full cart, under $300. I know I couldn’t have done this at any of the big chain stores.”
