Recent inspections of Pinellas County restaurants have highlighted several eateries that require improvement. The Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation conducted inspections at 428 restaurants in the county over the past 30 days. While 317 establishments passed on their first visit, 111 restaurants initially failed to meet standards.

Inspections and Violations
Several restaurants stood out for having a high number of violations. Mi Carreta Restaurant & Bakery in St. Petersburg topped the list with 31 violations, including 11 high-priority infractions, during a December 9 inspection. A follow-up inspection is still required.
Halong Bay Vietnamese Cuisine in St. Petersburg followed closely with 30 violations on November 25. After a follow-up inspection on December 4, the restaurant met standards despite 13 remaining violations.
