Cold start turns into a warmer afternoon today

Temperatures start out even colder today with may communities across the Bay Area starting out in the low to mid 40s so grab a coat. With a few afternoon clouds, highs will rise into the upper 60s.

A few stray showers are possible Monday and fewer Christmas Eve as low temperatures return to the upper 50s. Highs will climb into the mid to upper 70s to start the work week.

Isolated pm showers are back in the forecast Christmas Day with a better chance of more scattered rain Thursday as a front stalls over the Bay Area. Lows will be around 60 degrees with highs in the mid to upper 70s Christmas day and Thursday.

Rain chances will be low with stray showers possible Friday through the weekend with not much change in temperatures.
