LARGO, Fla. (WFLA) — A man and his wife were hospitalized Wednesday after an alleged attempted murder-suicide in Largo.
Police were called to investigate a domestic disturbance on Pinecone Way.
The caller, identified as Jonathan McPhee, 78, told dispatchers he killed his wife and would take his own life, according to Largo police.
Officers found McPhee with a self-inflicted stab wound and his wife with blunt-force trauma. They were taken to the hospital, where they remained in critical condition on Thursday.
McPhee was charged with attempted first-degree murder.
