ATF agent shot during fight in Hillsborough: HCSO

A Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Explosives (ATF) agent was shot during a fight late Friday night, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HSCO) said.

At 11:07 p.m., HCSO deputies responded to the shooting at The Alley at Southshore at 10221 Big Bend Road in Riverview.

When they arrived, deputies found an adult male with upper-body trauma. The victim, later identified as an off-duty ATF agent, was transported to a hospital, where he received medical treatment.

Detectives believe that a fight occurred, and that’s when the shots were fired.
