St. Pete hospital welcomes first baby of the new year

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — Welcome to the world, little one! A St. Petersburg hospital has announced the arrival of their first baby of the new year.

Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital Center for Women & Babies, located in St. Petersburg, announced the first arrival of 2025.

At 12:19 a.m., a baby girl, named Iliana, was welcomed into the world, weighing in at 7 pounds, 4 ounces, and 19 inches long.

Baby Iliana is the daughter of Iris Alfaro-Rodriguez and Arian Cabral.

Iliana joins a new generation, Generation Beta , as the new year marks the end of Generation Alpha.
