A tragic incident took place on New Year’s Day when a 72-year-old Largo man was fatally hit while crossing Ulmerton Road in Pinellas County. The event occurred near 34th Street North at around 6:40 p.m. The Florida Highway Patrol stated that the man entered the path of a Mazda CX-9, driven by a 60-year-old Tampa woman, as reported by WFLA.
