Cities won’t merge, but changes could be afoot on Anna Maria Island

ANNA MARIA ISLAND, Fla. (WWSB) – A study recently released by a research firm sparked debate about the overlap in services provided by the three different cities on Anna Maria Island.

“What we are seriously wanting to look at is are there ways to save taxpayers money and still provide a very high level, or same level, or better level of service,” said Florida Senator Jim Boyd.
