Cold front passes w/ showers on the first day of Spring

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A cold front will pass through the Tampa Bay area this afternoon on the first day of spring. It will bring a few isolated showers this afternoon and evening as it passes.

Winds will be breezy before and after the rain today as well. Temperatures will be mild with highs in the mid and upper 70s.

The rain and clouds clear out tonight. Temperatures will drop for a chilly Friday morning with lows in the 40s to near 50 degrees.

It stays chilly all day Friday with highs in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees under full sunshine. Wind swill still be breezy in the morning and calm down throughout the day.

Saturday will start out chilly but temperatures warm up nicely into the mid-70s with sunny skies and light winds. Sunday looks great as well with a milder start and highs back in the low 80s.

Another front will approach early next week bringing another round of scattered showers Monday into Tuesday. This front will not bring a big cool down.
