The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office has added some new stripes and bars to its ranks, with a promotion ceremony that took place yesterday. Sheriff Bob Gualtieri led the proceedings at the Sheriff’s Administration Building, as five members of the Sheriff’s Office took a step up in their law enforcement careers.
At the ceremony, held at 10750 Ulmerton Road in Largo, the promoted individuals were honored before family, friends, and colleagues. Notably, Nicholas Forgione ascended to the role of Lieutenant, while Cindy Kakalow, and Brian Belcher each received their stripes as new Sergeants. Both Ashley Luth and William Rogers were also recognized, with Luth stepping into the position of Assistant Forensic Science Supervisor, and Rogers taking on the role of Inmate Records Supervisor, their new titles reflective of their expertise, and dedication to service, as reported by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
The tradition of family members and friends participating in the pinning of badges and the presentation of plaques ran strong at the event, marking the personal nature of the occasion.
