ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (BLOOM) — A new neighborhood seafood spot is getting ready to make a splash along Central Avenue.
Cheeky’s, a seafood restaurant and raw bar from Tampa native and hospitality veteran Nate Siegel, will open Wednesday, May 7, in St. Petersburg’s Grand Central District. Siegel, who co-founded Tampa’s award-winning Willa’s and Willa’s Provisions, is bringing his latest vision to life with a menu full of fresh Gulf seafood, Maine lobster rolls, burgers, salads and daily specials.
Taking cues from New England oyster bars and Southern fish shacks, Cheeky’s aims to create a casual, family-friendly environment with indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant will start with dinner service only, with weekday lunch, weekend brunch, happy hour and live music planned for the coming months.
The raw bar will anchor the menu, highlighting oysters sourced from Long Island’s Blue Point, Massachusetts’ Katama Bay, and Florida farms like Indian River Oyster Company in New Smyrna Beach and Lost Coast Oysters in Tampa Bay. Guests can expect oysters served raw, grilled or fried…
