The Red Mesa Group of restaurants has been a favorite in St. Pete for decades, and their latest offerings may be among the best the award-winning restaurants have ever had. We’re always excited about their burritos, tacos, brunch and more, but as we continue searching for the best deals in town, it’s the daily happy hours at all three Red Mesa restaurants that truly stand out.
- Red Mesa Restaurant, 4912 4th Street North – The original; a sit-down, family-friendly destination
- Red Mesa Cantina, 128 3rd Street South – A trendy downtown bar and restaurant with a dreamy courtyard
- Red Mesa Mercado, 1100 1st Avenue North – Fast-casual, counter service hub in the heart of St. Pete’s dynamic EDGE District
The beloved neighborhood spots have fantastic specials nearly every day of the week, with something for every taste. And we should note one important change that happy hour connossieurs may have missed: all three restaurants now have full liquor bars. So whether you’re doing it big downtown at Cantina, taking the family out to Red Mesa restaurant on 4th Street, or stopping in for some tasty street food at Mercado in the EDGE District, you can add any drink you like to the experience.
And now, adding that drink comes at a bargain. These happy hour specials take place at all three restaurants, so all you have to do is pick which experience you like – that margarita deal will be there for you either way. We also recommend taking advantage of the weekend brunch/breakfast available at all three. The breakfast tacos at Mercado are absolute gamechangers.
Red Mesa happy hour specials:

Red Mesa Group is St. Pete’s go-to for Mexican, Latin and more
If you’re new to the Red Mesa concepts (or it’s just been a little while and you need a refresher), you’ll be happy to discover that each of the three concepts offers a completely different dining experience than the others.
Red Mesa Restaurant (4912 4th Street North) is the one that started it all, way back in 1995, now celebrating 30 years of making happy diners in St. Pete. Featuring Latin-inspired dining, the flagship restaurant offers a fusion of Spanish, Gulf, and Latin American flavors. As one of St. Pete’s elder statesmen among locally-owned restaurants, they take pride in delivering authentic Latin flavors through a mix of Old-World classics and dynamic house specials, all crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
In the heart of downtown, and located in a historic 100-year-old building, Red Mesa Cantina (128 3rd Street South) has been a must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike since opening in 2009. Their award-winning Mexican and Latin-American cuisine features bold flavors in tacos, burritos, ceviches, and an array of small plates and entrées. (We’re partial to the Filet Mignon Tacos)…
