Turner Bungalow exhibit opens at Heritage Village

LARGO, Fla. (WFLA) — A permanent exhibit celebrating the legacy of a Clearwater family opened in Pinellas County on Wednesday.

The Turner Bungalow’s unveiling took place at Heritage Village, located at 11909 125th Street N., earlier this week and was commemorated with a ceremony featuring remarks by County Commission Chairman Brian Scott, alongside historical museum operations manager Monica Drake.

Originally located in Clearwater, the Turner Bungalow was donated to Pinellas County in 2014 by Geraldine “Jere” Turner as a way of honoring her family’s legacy.

Restoration efforts took place from 2021 to 2023, preserving the bungalow’s original features such as the flooring, fireplace, walls and woodwork…
