Brightline station in Tampa: Officials launch public survey for input in this big expansion

The Hillsborough County Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) wants your input on a major development: a potential Brightline station in downtown Tampa.

A new public survey invites residents, commuters, and visitors across Tampa Bay and Florida to share how they would prefer to access the station—whether by walking, biking, or driving.

This easy, five-minute survey is available in both English and Spanish through May 31. It’s designed to help transportation leaders understand how future Brightline riders might arrive at the station, what types of mobility options matter most, and how to improve infrastructure and accessibility.

Brightline high-speed train service could come to Tampa

Brightline, a privately owned and operated high-speed rail service, currently connects Orlando with Southeast Florida, including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach. Since launching in 2018, the company has been rapidly expanding, with Tampa marked as its next destination.
