Corey Avenue Grand Reopening Celebration
5-11 p.m. Saturday, May 17. Corey Avenue, 7395 Gulf Blvd., St. Pete Beach. Join Corey Avenue merchants for a day full of celebration, music and local pride as they mark the grand reopening of the avenue and the 30th anniversary of the Corey Area Business Association. The day will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony (4 p.m.), DJ Swankadelic + Dancing in the Street (4-7 p.m.), a performance by Kenny Chesney tribute band Pirate Flag (7-9 p.m.), and the lighting of the Beach Theatre marquee (9 p.m.).
Palm Harbor Hero Fest
12-10 p.m. Saturday, May 17. Downtown Palm Harbor. The Pinellas County Veterans Association, in partnership with the Palm Harbor Chamber of Commerce, will host the inaugural Palm Harbor Hero Fest — a tribute to the brave men and women who serve our community and nation. This family-friendly event is free to attend. Proceeds will benefit multiple charities. The day will include live performances, Walls of Honor, a K-9 exhibit, vehicle displays, Palm Harbor Fire Rescue extraction demonstration and touch a truck, vendor marketplace and interactive activities for kids. https://palmharborherofest.com/
2025 OCC Invitational Bike Show
May 16-18. OCC Road House & Museum/Bert’s Barracuda Harley-Davidson, 10575 49th St. N., Clearwater. The third annual event will feature more than 40 elite bike builders from across the country and around the world. These artisans will showcase their creations as they compete for thousands of dollars of prize money across eight categories. The public is welcome to come enjoy three days of concerts, food and drinks, games, vendors, and a massive expo space with hundreds of cruisers, trikes, sport bikes, choppers, and more. West Florida Y Runners Club
5 a.m. Thursdays, May 15. Northside Christian, 7777 62nd Ave. N., St. Petersburg. Coached track workouts meet weekly. An all-paces welcome, 5-mile run meets at 5 a.m. in Dunedin at 2646 Bayshore Blvd. in front of the gym. Runners also meet on Sundays at 6 a.m. for a 13-mile loop, at the Clearwater City parking lot, 112 S. Osceola Ave. People run a variety of distances, up to 13 miles, and at a variety of paces.
