Pinellas Park man arrested after arranging ride-share for teens to travel across Florida to meet him: police

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. (WFLA) — A Pinellas Park man was arrested after police said he arranged a ride-share for two teenage girls to travel across the state to meet him.

The Pinellas Park Police Department said detectives executed a search warrant at 50-year-old Bruce Higgins’ apartment located at 3145 Grand Avenue on Tuesday.

Police said Higgins was being investigated in an ongoing lewd and lascivious case involving a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old.

Investigators said Higgins had ordered a ride-share for the teens from the Daytona area.

Higgins was taken into custody on Tuesday and charged with two counts of indecent, lewd, or lascivious touching of certain minors, using a computer or electronic device to seduce, solicit, or lure a child, unlawful use of a two-way communication device and traveling to meet a minor…
