Florida Woman Charged With Starting Road Rage Shootout That Only Injured Herself

A Florida woman is facing charges for allegedly starting a shootout that only injured herself after a road rage incident on Thursday, authorities said.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a reported shooting between two drivers at the intersection of South Hilltop Road and West Brandon Boulevard in Brandon shortly after 2 p.m. Thursday.

Investigators determined that both drivers had stopped at a red light and engaged in an altercation. During the confrontation, 21-year-old Aiden Richards allegedly fired a gun at the other vehicle, striking it multiple times. The driver of the second vehicle then retrieved a firearm and returned fire, hitting Richards. She was transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries…
