It’s Bo time: Bojangles opening new restaurant in Tampa Bay

After decades away, Bojangles is finally making its return to the Tampa Bay area. The popular Southern fast-food chain is opening a new restaurant in Pinellas Park at 7930 US Highway 19 N.

The news was first reported by the Tampa Bay Times. While the official opening date hasn’t been announced, construction is already underway, and the restaurant is expected to open by the end of the year, according to reporting by the Tampa Bay Times.

Bojangles is famous for its iced tea and biscuits

Bojangles first opened in Charlotte, North Carolina, in 1977 and quickly grew a loyal fan base with its signature fried chicken, flaky biscuits, and sweet iced tea—all made fresh daily. The brand last had a presence in Tampa Bay in the 1980s, and this new expansion marks the beginning of a larger return to the region.

The company is working with franchise partners to bring its Southern-style comfort food and hospitality to more communities across Florida. “As we continue to expand, our goal is to partner with dedicated franchisees who understand their communities and are passionate about delivering Bojangles’ Southern hospitality,” said Brooks Speirs, vice president of franchise sales at Bojangles.
