A man was arrested in a Tampa homicide investigation after a recent Central Florida shooting.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office charged the 24-year-old man with first-degree murder following a fatal shooting near the intersection of Progress Boulevard and South 82nd Street in Tampa.
Deputies recently responded to reports of shooting at 4:19pm. Upon arrival, deputies discovered 24-year-old Terrel Ferrell, suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. He had been riding as a passenger in a vehicle that also contained a female driver and a child in the backseat.
Through investigative means, detectives learned that the driver briefly stopped to speak with the suspect when the suspect opened fire. In an attempt to escape, the driver sped away and accidentally struck a motorized bicyclist, who sustained minor injuries. The vehicle continued to a nearby Thorntons convenience store to get help…
