Hillsborough Educator Pleads Guilty to Funneling Firearms to Trinidad Criminals
TAMPA, Fla. – A Hillsborough County high school teacher is facing serious prison time after admitting to her role in a scheme to smuggle firearms to a transnational criminal organization based in Trinidad.
Shannon Lee Samlalsingh, 46, of Tampa, pleaded guilty on June 20, 2025, to conspiracy to making false statements to a firearms dealer, a charge that could land her behind bars for up to five years.
