LARGO, Fla. (WFLA) — A Largo firefighter and EMT was terminated following an internal investigation into an incident at a “No Kings” protest last week where he was accused of using discriminatory language.
On that day, reports said that a man and others were causing trouble at various protests in St. Petersburg. A couple who was in attendance told WFLA that the man, later identified as a Largo firefighter named Brandon Stoffel, was saying racial slurs and homophobic things, which were caught on video.
The Largo Fire Rescue, along with the City of Largo, confirmed that Stoffel’s employment had been terminated following an internal investigation, stating, “His actions were not consistent with the standards and trust the community expects and deserves.”…
