Stormy Stretch Ahead for Tampa Bay

After a brief break in the storms Sunday evening, we’re setting up for a very active stretch of weather. Skies will gradually clear overnight with mild conditions and lows in the upper 70s. A few clouds linger into the morning, but the first half of Monday stays mostly quiet.

By midday, scattered storms begin to develop and will increase in coverage through the afternoon. Not everyone sees rain Monday, but storm chances rise significantly by Tuesday, with a soaking setup expected across the region.

Heavy Rain Potential Through the Week

A weak tropical low expected to form near or over Florida will funnel deep moisture across the state. That means repeated rounds of rain through midweek, especially Tuesday through Thursday. Expect locally heavy downpours, gusty winds with stronger cells, and the potential for flooding in poor drainage spots.
