Mama G’s celebrates 10 sweet years of authentic German pastries in Florida

Mama G’s German Bakery & Coffeehouse, located at 7219 Central Ave. S. in St. Petersburg, is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. What began in 2015 as a humble bakery near Sarasota–Bradenton Airport has grown into a thriving family-run enterprise with four locations across the Bay area. Founded by Beate “Mama G” Goldstein, the bakery brings generations of German culinary tradition to life.

By 2018, the family expanded their reach, opening a second bakery in Kenneth City at 6114 54th Ave. N. under the leadership of daughter Jacqueline and her husband, Bruce.

As the years passed, their passion for authentic German baked goods led to the opening of a third location on South Tamiami Trail in Sarasota in 2022. The newest addition to the Mama G’s family is the flagship shop at 7219 Central Ave. S. in St. Petersburg, owned and operated by Jacqueline. Each location embodies the same commitment to faith, family, and food, but with its own unique charm and loyal customer base.
