TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Dozens of drivers were arrested in Hillsborough County over the Fourth of July weekend after making “reckless choices,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said.
According to the sheriff, 45 people were caught driving under the influence during a joint operation aimed at keeping the community safe over the holiday weekend.

The operation took place between Thursday, July 3 and Sunday, July 6 — a period when officials said there is typically an increase in traffic.
