St. Pete Beach resident upset about 5G tower outside her home

ST. PETE BEACH, Fla. — A St. Pete Beach resident was appalled to learn a state law allows for a 5G tower to be installed across the street from her waterfront home in the historic Don CeSar Place neighborhood.

“We’re really trying to get this pole removed,” said Kelly Lee McFrederick. “All we have in the sight of vision is this huge 5G pole getting ready to get activated.”

McFrederick lives on E. Maritana Drive and said she noticed a much larger pole being installed, in place of an old utility pole, on the city’s easement of her seawall about one month ago. She quickly learned the new pole, 25 feet from her driveway, would be outfitted with 5G equipment…
