SEMINOLE, Fla. — A Pinellas County resident believes a faulty tide check valve has been causing stormwater to build up in his yard which will prevent the raising of his home, but Public Works believes the device is working as designed.
“It’s providing a kind of a dome of water that’s spreading out into my yard,” said homeowner Tom Beckwith, 79. “Which is now causing my lawn to recede.”
