Jewett Orthopedic Institute is coming to Bayfront Hospital

The professionals at Bayfront Hospital want you to know that they have your back – and elbows, knees, and hips, too.

Orlando Health, the central Florida not-for-profit hospital conglomerate that runs St. Petersburg’s Bayfront Hospital, confirmed the expansion of the Jewett Orthopedic Institute to Tampa Bay this week. In a first for the region, that relocation will include the introduction of an orthopedic walk-in clinic, which will function as an urgent care for orthopedic pain. The facility will also allow for patients to obtain a large number of orthopedic services related to diagnosis and treatment in one place.

The team of 20 physicians and 14 physician assistants, formerly of the Florida Medical Clinic, are set to rebrand in the coming months, with the St. Petersburg team relocating to offices in the Orlando Health Medical Pavilion – Institute Square in fall 2025.
