Residents evacuated after water main break causes large hole at Largo apartments

LARGO, Fla. (WFLA) — More than a dozen Largo residents have been out of their apartments since Saturday, after a water main break opened up a large hole.

“We saw the ponds we’re starting to fill up on property and then when we went to go investigate, we could actually hear the Earth, and the tour and everything like breaking away, so the parking lot was actually sinking,” said resident Ryan Carney.

“It’s kind of scary, you know,” said resident Mellie Holmes.
