St. Pete explores childcare benefits for city employees

St. Petersburg officials continue searching for solutions to help offset soaring childcare costs for city employees.

A recent internal survey garnered 483 responses. “Critical” personnel and first responders expressed the greatest need for a “back-up” care program.

The city has already explored establishing an in-house daycare program or offering an employee subsidy similar to St. Petersburg’s rental assistance program.
