Man Arrested After Firing at Apartment Staff, Barricading Himself in Tampa Parking Lot

TAMPA, Fla. — A 29-year-old man is in custody after opening fire on two apartment staff members and barricading himself inside a vehicle at the Viridian Apartments on Wednesday morning, July 30, 2025.

Around 9:59 a.m., the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of an erratic individual at the complex on the 2300 block of Campus Club Court. Upon arrival, deputies learned the suspect, Andrew Tsinkelis, had fired multiple rounds at a golf cart occupied by the apartment manager and assistant manager. The gunfire shattered the golf cart’s glass, causing minor injuries to the woman inside.

Two nearby apartments were also struck by stray bullets, but no additional injuries were reported…
