St. Pete stalking suspect ‘had a type,’ may have other victims, police say

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — St. Petersburg police have arrested a 49-year-old man for stalking and voyeurism.

Police said William Michael Copher — who lived in Palmetto, Florida — would drive to apartment complexes in St. Petersburg and leer into the windows of unsuspecting young women.

“We have at least four different victims in this case. We believe there are other victims that we don’t know of,” said Major Shannon Halstead of the crimes against persons division of the St. Petersburg Police Department.

Halstead said Copher “had a type,” young women in their 20s with similar looks and body types…
