ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (BLOOM) –The Pinellas County Deaf Collaborative will host its fourth annual Deaf Fest on Saturday, Aug. 9, offering free resources and services to support the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community.
The event will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Lealman Exchange Community Center, located at 5175 45th St. N. in St. Petersburg. It is open to the public and will include on-site American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters from AQI Interpreting Services.
Attendees will have access to a wide range of resources, including:
- Hurricane preparedness information and free hurricane kit items (while supplies last)
- A live Text-to-911 demonstration
- Back-to-school items and academic resources
- Mental health support and free wellness screenings from BayCare
- Employment services, job placement support, and internship opportunities
- Consumer protection guidance and tutoring services
- Library programs and community workshops
- Free pizza provided by ALDA Suncoast and Leonardo’s Pizzeria
