The Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American Museum has earned another major honor—this time for its future. The rendering for the museum’s potential new home, designed by Everald Colas of STORYN Studio for Architecture, was recognized at the 2025 World Architectural Festival, winning in the Cultural Identity category. It is notably the only U.S.-based project to receive this distinction.
This marks the fourth major award for the rendering so far, including two international accolades, one state-level recognition, and one local honor.
