‘No Choice’: St. Pete moves forward with Tropicana repairs amid criticism

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — The price tag to repair Tropicana Field was already set at more than $55 million, but St. Pete city leaders voted Thursday to spend even more. However, the decision was not made without debate over whether the expenses are even worth it.

“It’s the path forward. We’re kind of already in it, and no matter how painful it is, we’ve got to just keep pushing forward because that is our obligation to,” said councilmember Brandi Gabbard.
