ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Florida’s Chief Financial Officer, Blaise Ingoglia, spoke from an on-site government efficiency initiative in St. Petersburg on Wednesday, vowing to hold local governments accountable for what he described as a post-COVID “explosion” in their budgets and a corresponding surge in property taxes.

Ingoglia, who refers to his initiative as “FAFO,” stated the only way to achieve property tax relief is for local governments to become “good stewards of taxpayer money” and cut their budgets.
