After nearly a full year of repairs, one of Gulfport’s most beloved local gems is back in business. Let It Be Ice Cream, located at 3127 Beach Blvd. S, officially reopened today, bringing a longtime favorite back to life.
The brightly colored shop is treasured for creative ice cream flavors available by the scoop or in a cone, along with its wildly popular ice cream cookie sandwiches. Made with fresh-baked cookies and house-made ice cream, the sandwiches are a perfect sweet treat—especially during Florida’s hot summer months.
Local favorite makes its sweet return
Let It Be Ice Cream was one of many Gulfport businesses in the Beach Drive area that sustained major damage during last year’s storms. The owners spent the past year rebuilding, from major infrastructure repairs to new coats of bright paint inside and out. Hot pink and turquoise walls now set the nostalgic tone for this locally owned ice cream parlor.
Owners say that while the space has changed, their mission remains the same: “To create a place where you can slow down, laugh a little more, and share a really good scoop with the people you love.”
Guests can expect plenty of old favorites alongside new flavors and “lots of sweet surprises,” the shop shared. As before, there’s indoor seating available, though many fans love grabbing a scoop and strolling the waterfront. In the summer, it’s always a race to see who melts first—you or the ice cream…
