HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY – A man died early Sunday morning, August 24, 2025, following a multi-vehicle crash on I-75 at the Alafia River bridge.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident began at approximately 5:37 a.m. when a 35-year-old Spring Hill man driving a Honda Civic was involved in a single-vehicle crash near the 250 Milepost. A short distance south, a 20-year-old Louisville, Kentucky woman driving a Mazda 3 sedan was also involved in a single-vehicle crash. Both drivers exited their vehicles and were on foot after their collisions.
Troopers say a 41-year-old Brandon woman driving a Chevy Traverse was traveling southbound when she struck the disabled Honda Civic and its driver. The impact propelled the man off the bridge and into the river. The Traverse then continued forward, colliding with the Mazda 3 but not its driver…
