Ubuntu food truck announced that it is opening a space in St. Pete’s EDGE District this fall, giving the highly popular mobile concept its first-ever permanent location in the Sunshine City. Ubuntu’s new outpost will be located at 1720 Central Avenue along the bustling retail corridor at the western end of the EDGE District.
The grand opening is set for this Saturday, September 6. Though if you want a sneak peek, the fusion concept plans to soft open on Tuesday, September 2, with a limited menu and hours.
Chef Ray is the culinary mastermind behind Ubuntu, and his modern fusion cuisine has helped the food truck make a name for itself over the last three-plus years around Pinellas County. Most recently, Ubuntu earned Silver in the Tampa Bay Times 2025 People’s Choice Awards, placing 2nd overall in the Food Truck category. He specializes in decadent and creative splurge-worthy meals that are as tempting for the taste buds as they are for your instagram feed.
