PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. — The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office is keeping its K-9s safer with new technology that will keep them cooler in patrol cars.
Deputies have unveiled new Hot-N-Pop Pro systems for all K-9 vehicles, which can monitor the car’s temperature and automatically drop all windows, sound alarms and alert both dispatchers’ and handlers’ phones if temperatures hit 85 degrees Fahrenheit.
