St. Pete’s ‘Black History Matters’ mural repainted overnight after art removed from streets

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — Less than 24 hours after the last bit of street art was removed from St. Pete, the city’s “Black History Matters” mural has returned.

Someone took to the street overnight to repaint the mural.

By Wednesday morning, people began stumbling across the white block letters once again spelling out “Black History Matters” outside the Dr. Carter G. Woodson African American Museum.
