Largo Woman Charged with Child Neglect, Drug Possession After Leaving Child Unsupervised in Spring Hill Hotel

A Largo woman has been charged with child neglect and drug possession after leaving her young child unattended in a hotel room at Microtel on Commercial Way in Spring Hill. According to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called on Sunday, after a four-year-old was found alone in the hotel lobby.

Deputies arrived around 9:15 a.m. and found the child, who had been unsupervised for about 25 minutes. The mother, Cheyenne Mamagona, admitted she had stepped outside to smoke marijuana in her vehicle. A search of her vehicle found marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and Mamagona, born January 22, 1996, does not have a medical marijuana card…
