St. Pete city council votes to raise utility rates starting in October

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — St. Pete homeowners are bracing for a nearly double-digit utility rate increase.

Thursday night, St. Petersburg City Council approved raising water, sewer and trash bills another 9% on average as the city fast-tracks long-overdue upgrades.
