Water may taste different soon in Pinellas County

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Pinellas County residents may soon notice a change in the taste or smell of their tap water.

County officials said this is due to a temporary change in the water disinfection process. It involves a routine switch from chloramine to chlorine so that Pinellas County Utilities can complete water system maintenance.
