Treasure Island commissioner apologizes for suggestive texts to constituent, blames it on ‘insomnia’

TREASURE ISLAND, Fla. (WFLA) — A Treasure Island city commissioner issued an apology for sending strange and suggestive texts to one of his constituents last week.

The issue was first brought up in a city commission meeting on Tuesday by resident Greg Matthew, who said the city needs a code of conduct.

Matthew, a resident of District 3, said at 4 a.m. on Sept. 11, he received texts from his commissioner, Arthur Czyszczon, asking about his wife.
