Traffic Stop Leads to Discovery of Active Warrant and Illegal Narcotics

LAKELAND, Fla. – A routine traffic stop on Saturday afternoon led to the arrest of a Lakeland man on an active felony warrant, as well as new drug charges.

According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO), 40-year-old Matthew Joseph Koscin was arrested after a deputy observed him commit a traffic infraction around 3:48 p.m. on September 20.

The deputy conducted a pedestrian stop, and during the interaction, it was discovered that Koscin had an active felony warrant for burglary out of Hillsborough County…
