St. Petersburg flood victims open Dam It Defense

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A pair of friends whose St. Petersburg homes were flooded by Hurricane Helene have opened a new business, Dam It Defense, which sells barriers aimed at preventing flooding.

“We figured it out, we built it, designed it, and one thing led to another and it turned into a business,” said co-founder Danny Fustar. “Our mission was to really keep St. Pete flood proof.”

Dam It Defense began accepting orders for its flood prevention system about two months ago and will celebrate its factory grand opening on Friday, the one year anniversary of Hurricane Helene…
