CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — A Largo man was arrested on Monday after more than 20 cats were found inside of his car, according to the Clearwater Police Department.
Police were called to a Starbucks on McMullen Booth Road after a bystander spotted the cats in the car.

Police said 21 live cats and two dead cats were found “malnourished and living in squalor” in a 2004 Ford Focus. They were kept in cages that were “coated in waste.”
The cats were taken to Pinellas County Animal services for medical care. Their owner, identified as Patrick Haumann, was charged with two counts of felony animal cruelty and one misdemeanor count of animal cruelty.
He remained in the Pinellas County Jail on Tuesday…
