TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A man has been found guilty of murdering his girlfriend and her 4-year-old daughter in 2024.
The State Attorney’s Office for the 13th Judicial Circuit said Tuesday, a jury found Angel Gabriel Cuz Choc guilty of first-degree murder for the stabbing of his girlfriend, Amalia Coc Choc De Pec, and her daughter, Estrella Pec Coc.

Back in April 2024, Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister described it as “an extremely gruesome scene” with blood surrounding the victims after they were stabbed multiple times.
This past week, jurors heard overwhelming evidence from detectives and analysts who linked the killings to Cuz Choc, including multiple weapons and a video showing him chasing his girlfriend hours before she was found dead.
“My heart breaks for this mother and her little girl, whose lives were taken in acts of pure evil,” State Attorney Suzy Lopez said. “He brutally murdered the woman he considered to be his wife, and the little girl he treated as a daughter. We will not rest until the victims’ family gets the justice they deserve.”…
