PSTA’s new high-frequency route, Spark, connects South Pinellas to Downtown St. Pete

The new route, called Spark, will connect Eckerd College to the Grand Central Station on Central Avenue, with 18 stops in between providing service north and south on 34th Street S (US HWY 19).

The high-frequency route will offer service every 15 minutes at all 18 stops along the path from 6 am – 8 pm daily. The buses will have 30-minute frequency from 5-6 am and 8 pm to midnight.

The new service is a boon for students and school staff, providing easy access to the SunRunner and other PSTA routes, making it easy to get to downtown or the beaches. Thanks to PSTA’s UPASS program, students and faculty from participating schools and colleges ride free on all PSTA fixed routes, making it easy not just to get to school and back, but to get to jobs or social outings. Schools along the route include Eckerd College, Pinellas Technical College, Gibbs High School, and St. Petersburg College…
